Electron Microscopical Study of Development on the Duodenum of Fetuses and Neonates in Korean Native Geat
Seo Moo-Lyong

Abstract
The morphological development of duodenum in fetuses between 80, 90, 120 days of gestation and neonates of Korean native goats was investigated by scanning and transmission electron microscope.
The results were summarized as follow ;
1. In the finding of scaning electron microscope, the duodenal villi of the 60 and 90 days of gestation were like bunches of grapes, those of the felon on 120 days of gestation were finger-like and those of newborn were leaf-like appearance, and then the vllli developed gradually during geatational period.
2. In the finding of transmission electron microscope, types of the duodenal epithelia of the fetus 60 days of gestation were simple columnar in some areas and stratified columnar in others, and the epitbelial cells had nuclei, endoplasmic reticulum(ER), mitocbondria, Golgi complexes, juntional complexes, glycogen granules and goblet cells included mncous granules
8. The microvilli of the duodenal epithelium of the fetuses on 80 days of gestation became larger and longer, and ER, mitochondria, Golgi complexes, junctional complexes and glycogen granules in the epithelial cells developed and increased.
4. Paneth cells in the duodenal epithelium were located at the base of the intestinal glands on 120 days of gestation. The cells contained the nuclei near the basal lamina, secretory granules at the apical portions, and the cell organelles developed during geatational period.
b. The small processes, which size were similar to microvilli protruded on the free border of the cells of the mucous epithelium and cell organelles of the epithelial cells well developed in the newborn.
